The International Computer Music Association is an international affiliation of individuals and institutions involved in the technical, creative, and performance aspects of computer music. It serves composers, engineers, researchers and musicians who are interested in the integration of music and technology.
ICMC Conference 2027
ICMC 2027 Taiwan will bring together composers, researchers, performers, sound artists, technologists, and educators from around the world to explore new developments in computer music and related interdisciplinary fields. Under the theme “Bridging Tradition and Future,” the conference will highlight intelligent music, artificial intelligence, electronic and electroacoustic music, cultural heritage, cross-cultural creation, and human-centered musical creativity.
The program is expected to include paper presentations, concerts, installations, demonstrations, posters, panels, invited lectures, and special cross-cultural performances integrating Western instruments, traditional Asian instruments, Taiwanese Indigenous musical elements, and electronic media.

The 50th Anniversary of the International Computer Music Conference (ICMC 2025) was held in Boston, USA from June 8 – 14, 2025, collaboratively hosted by five institutions: Northeastern University, New England Conservatory, Berklee College of Music, Boston Conservatory at Berklee and Emerson College.

The theme of ICMC BOSTON 2025 was Curiosity, Play, Innovation – A 50th Anniversary Celebration of Creativity in Music, Science and Technology. This theme is an homage to the working spirit of David Wessel (1942-2014), who organized the inaugural ICMC at Michigan State University in 1974.
